Co-ed Flag Football

Flag football players line up for a play on the turf

Before your next flag session

Updated October 25, 2026: Flag families, the regular season is in progress! Our co-ed program welcomes boys and girls in grades 3-8, including eighth graders. Our Cougars play on the turf at Shunpike Field, 58 Shunpike Rd, Chatham Township, NJ 07928.

For your next session, bring water and your player's mouthpiece. Cleats are strongly recommended. Check your group's latest team message for the start time, meeting point and pickup plan. Ask the flag volunteers about any clothing or equipment instruction that is unclear.

Grades and schedule questions

New to football? That is a good reason to ask us about flag. Our drills build basic skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship and healthy competition. Email chathamnjflagfootball@gmail.com with your player's grade and questions.

The planned groups pair grades 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. Sessions combine Saturday mornings with a weekday evening. The final plan depends on enrollment and field availability, so check your group's schedule before making a commitment.

Flag contacts and volunteers

Our flag sessions teach basic football skills, different positions and fair play. If your player is new, tell the coach their grade and ask which group to join.

Could you help coach? You do not need past coaching experience. A background check and a positive attitude are required. Tell chathamnjflagfootball@gmail.com when you can help, and ask about the volunteer steps.

What to check before leaving

  • Read the latest note for your player's group.
  • Confirm the start time and pickup plan.
  • Ask the coach what to bring.
  • Bring water.

Your player needs a mouthpiece. Cleats are strongly recommended. Ask us if an equipment instruction is unclear before you buy.

Shunpike Field

Chatham families have kept the club running since 2015. Thank you to the volunteers coaching flag and the donors helping with youth scholarships!

Uniforms and spirit wear

Ask the flag volunteers which clothing your player needs before ordering. Our 2025 team store archive records the earlier store announcement. That archive does not confirm today's availability or ordering deadline; check the current listing before paying.
